I just saw Kurosawa's film from 1965
Red Beard. Truly amazing, what incredible lighting, compositions and drama. Each set is like a moving painting you want to keep looking at. Mifune who plays Red Beard is incredible and the camera just loves his intensity. It's a long, slow film so make sure you have some time to soak up all the beauty, time and space.
